With iOS 26, Macos 26, TVOS 26, and Watches 26, Apple is planning to start a new design, described as taking inspiration from the latest operating system. With WWDC arriving soon, we thought we would take a close look at Visionos and some design details that Apple can adopt based on the current rumors and leaked information.
1. Transparency
Inside Apple,, IIOS 26 redesign project is known as “solarium”, which gives us some insight into Apple’s attention. A solarium is originally an all-glass room designed to go into light.
Since the launch, Visionos contains menu and interface elements that are transported because in the AR/VR environment, people need to be able to look as much as possible to feel submerged.
The translucent design elements in visionos mix better in the background for a disinterested form, causing color and light through the real world. It is not difficult to see that such transported design will work well in apps such as photos, which we have already seen a mockup.
2. Floating navigation bar and menu
The floating menu and navigation bar go right with transportation. In visionos, everything is essentially floating in an open space around you, whether you are looking at your surroundings through the Pacithrrow camera, or a virtual reality background.
In IOS 26, Apple can repeat this effect with shading and shadowing that raises the interface elements slightly up on the material in the background, for a soft, staining depth effect.
The visionos have a lot of top-handed toolbar instead of bars below, so it is possible that we will see iOS moving in this way.
3. Round button and interface elements
The iOS has already been rounded round rectangles for all interfaces of menu, search bar, and card-style within the round sections and icons, information, apps, which we are using, but Visionos is also a rounder. Floating navigation bar in iOS can be more clearly of tablet size with round edges.
Visionos has more dramatic rounding at the corners, and the app icons are completely rounded. IOS 26 can be normally rounder, more closely matches some shapes in visionos. Leikar John Prose has claimed that the round app would be an option for the icon, but it is not clear whether Apple would want to go in that direction for iOS because Android has long used round app icons. The iconic square has been one of the many design features that distinguish iOS from Android.
4. Glass look
With its transcendent, the visionos interface can look like almost frozen glass. Apple’s WWDC 2025 design shifts pastel colors and a fried glass rainbow, which probably plans to adopt the form of a sea-glass-style, which has already been found in visionos.
Visionos actually uses a system-designed material that says glass for Apple app window. It shows light, virtual materials and objects in the atmosphere through the menu and windows. The glass prepares for background color and provides the contrast for the app content keeping in mind the physical surroundings of the people. Apple can use uniform material design in ios 26 .
5. Micro -lighting change
In visionos, the translucent interface elements can interact with the status of the light of the room that is in the user. It does not translate into the iPhone, but the iOS is clearly going to have some subtle light effects that will emphasize the design like transportation and glass.
In visionos, windows also add shadows that are responsible for head movements. This is not something that translates to iOS, but the possibility of shifting is a possibility of shifting light and shade effects that when you move your type. In fact, the process claims that the lock screen has a brightness on the flashlight and the camera (or customized) button when the iphone is transferred.
Apple can use dynamic shadowing in apps and for widgets, and adaptive color can carry forward the effect by allowing interface elements to mix with wallpaper and allowing with ambient lighting.
6. Simplicity
For most parts, Visionos has a simplified design in Apple apps, in which people are required to ensure that people have enough space to see a button to interact with it due to the vacancy due to an airer feel. IOS 26 can adopt streamlined navigation and menu elements for less disorganized form.
Visionos cleaner uses fonts, boulder text, and increased line height, which can translate into iOS or not.
Apple is probably taking a good look at navigation, menu option and layout, as one of the main aspects of redesign is more cross-platform harmony, BloombergMark Gurman. He says that ios 26 “will be simple to use, fast to navigate, and easy to learn.”
Designing
This is not just IOS 26 that is being overhala. Visual changes in menu, button and navigation will also extend to osmacos 26 , and of course, iPados 26. Design refresh will also appear in Watches 26 and TVOS 26.
Apple will undoubtedly provide developers with new design guidelines and resources, so that the update form can be expanded to the third-party apps.
Wwdc debut
The new designs we are hearing about is ready to unveil the WWDC Keenote event on Monday, June 9.
