It is widely believed that Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22. This date was first revealed through leaked promotional images from an Italian launch event. The photos (which have since been taken offline) included the date of January 22, 2025. Since then, various tipsters have backed up the January 22 date. While some have highlighted January 23 instead, a closer look at the time zones of all the reports reveals that January 22 corresponds to a morning slot on the U.S. West Coast.
When will pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 Ultra open?
In previous years, pre-order windows for new Galaxy S handsets would open at the end of the event, allowing viewers of the livestream to sign up immediately. Current information suggests pre-orders will begin two days after the event, on Friday, January 24, and remain open until Tuesday, February 4. It’ll follow a now rather familiar trend whereby Samsung usually pushes several offers to attract people signing up throughout the pre-order window, discounting some key accessories such as the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, moving customers to the next storage tier up, among other things. These may even be available as web exclusives on its site alone.
After the pre-order window closes, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25, and Galaxy S25+ will be available for sale on Friday, February 7. This aligns with Samsung’s traditional two-week gap, from when pre-orders open to when the handsets become available for sale in various regions worldwide.
