According to sources speaking to The Information on the supply chain, Apple apparently plans to conduct a launch of the iPhone 18 lineup in two stages, slated to take place in 2026.
The news again mentions that the Pro iPhone 18 is actually supposed to launch in the fall of 2026.
Meanwhile, a more affordable version of the iPhone 18—along with a new model from the iPhone 16e series—is expected to launch by the spring of 2027. There’s also speculation that a new foldable iPhone could debut in the fall of 2026.
Bloomberg has reported that Apple is also planning to introduce a thinner smartphone model this year, rumored to be called the “iPhone 17 Air.” According to The Information, Apple is expected to release a successor to that model in 2026 as well.
In addition, the report mentions Apple is testing production of lower-level iPhone 18 models in India. The company has been attempting to reduce dependence on Chinese manufacturing, particularly after the tariffs levied in the Trump administration caused adverse effects on their profit margins.
