Apple introduced a new feature this week, designed to allow future Apple music users to import their saved music and playlists from third-party music services to Aapple Music.

Apple is partnership with Songshift for the new AAPPLE Music feature. Songshift is an app that transfers music playlists on streaming platforms, but working with Apple, the functionality is directly integrated into the inapple music app. Adding a simple option to transfer materials from another service to people can be motivated to people with large, curated library and playlist to jump to Apple’s music service.

The transfer can be started on an ‌iphone or ‌ipad, by opening the transfer app, navigating for apps and selecting Aapple Music. In Musicapple Music Settings, “Transfer from other music services” is option that lists supported music services. Apple warns that some materials may not be available or there may be an accurate match in Aapple Music, and the company also notes that only the user is able to move the playlist created by the user, not the playlist produced by any other music service.

Other music service sources playlists and libraries will not be affected and will still be available.
