The next major Apple Watch software update arriving this year will include only a few new UI design changes that are preparing for the Apple iOS 19, but Watchos 12 will not get a complete interface overhaul like Apple’s iPhone software, Bloomberg Reporter Mark Gurman.
Writing in the question -section of their latest Power on newspaperGurman says that Apple Watch will get “new interface elements here and there, but changes will not be on the same scale that is coming in iOS 19. Later is said to be inspired by visionos, which stresses transcendent, glassy UI elements, micro -lighting effects, and include round icons and buttons.
Verification It was previously reported that the Watches would eventually be the “element” of the visionos, including a look that is with boulder, slightly transparent and a floating beauty. Button, menu, icon and other user interface elements will also be reportedly refreshed, and Apple is called “working on many ideas” for the home screen. The report did not mention when the changes would apply, but Gurman is confident that he would arrive as part of Watches 12 later this year.
Gurman reports that Apple is planning to bring a new set for Apple Watch that he is branding as “operated by Apple Intelliguutly”. Unlike iOS18, Apple Watch does not have Apple intelligence due to the high amount of local storage required by the currently underlying large language models, and Apple is ready to keep it in this way – AI with relying on the coupled iPhone to distribute features. Gurman did not specify what new features are.
Apple usually releases new versions of its software for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, around September, when new products are launched in these categories.
