This does not provide any other details about the problem, including whether a special manufacturer (pixel, Samsung, etc.) or Android OS version is affected. Google only specifies the version of Instagram 382.0.49.84, which rolled down Through the Play Store Today, as recover.

We have not seen or heard of a particular problem with Instagram battery drain in recent times. Google must consider this broader issue to warrant such a public announcement, although this is a major application. In general, Instagram is one of those apps that people – right or wrong – determine as being responsible for the battery drain. Keep in mind that this is both a camera and video consumption app.
