While the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are not expected to be launched by September, there are already a lot of rumors about the equipment.

- Apple-Design Wi-Fi 7 Chip: All four iPhone 17 models are rumored to receive the Wi-Fi 7 chip designed by Apple instead of Broadcom.
- 24-megapixel front camera: All four iPhone 17 models are asked to feature an upgraded 24-megapixel front-facing camera, while all iPhone 16 models are equipped with 12-megapixel front-facing cameras.
- 48-megapixel rear telephoto camera: For an advanced 48-megapixel telephoto camera iPhone 17 Pro model, the iPhone 16 Pro model is rumored above the 12-megapixel telephoto camera.
- Dual video recording: According to John Prosar of YouTube channel Front Page Tech, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro will allow users to record videos with front and rear cameras simultaneously in the camera app.
- 8k video recording: Apple allegedly tested 8K video recording on the iPhone 16 Pro model, but such functionality is still not available. The iPhone 17 Pro model is expected to have a perfectly 48-megapixel rear camera, perhaps 8K video recording will debut on those devices.
- 12 GB RAM: The 12GB increased RAM was initially a special rumor for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but later also the iPhone 17 Pro. This upgrade should help improve the performance of Apple Intelligence and Multitasking. All four iPhone 16 models have 8GB RAM.
- Better cooling: All four iPhone 17 models are rumored for the convenience of internal design changes that result in better heat dissipation. A vapor chamber cooling system is rumored to a pro model.
