iPhone rumored to receive 200MP camera like Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra

Apple is testing a 200-megapixel camera sensor, according to the digital chat station, Chinese social media is a big user on platform Weibo. The account has previously shared accurate information about Apple’s future products.

When Account post today No more details provide, this 200-megapixel camera sensor will be for the main rear camera on the future high-end iPhone model. Samsung introduced a 200-megapixel rear camera on its Galaxy S23 Ultra in 2023, and the follow-up S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra model.

With a 200-megapixel camera, an iPhone will be able to shoot photos with more detail. The enlarged megapixel count will also be high-resolution photos, which can be pushed forward and printed in large sizes without image quality loss.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro model is rumored to facilitate 48-megapixel cameras perfectly, so the 200-megapixel camera is unlikely to be available this year. In addition, a 200-megapixel camera is not yet a rumor for the iPhone 18 Pro model. Ultimately, advanced camera specification can be at least a few years away.
