La Quimera is a new story-operated, linear FPS, linear FPS from Reburn, which was earlier known as 4A games Ukraine. While the 4A Games were initially established and were located completely in Ukraine, as the Chief Executive Officer of the rebirth Demetro Limr first explained to WCCFTEC, when the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine in 2014, the studio was divided between a Ukraine-based team and another between another.

But Reburn did not start development of La Quimera a decade ago. Development began in 2020, after the completion of work on Metro Exodus, and the studios took a new name soon after the embressor group acquired the 4A game.

Suppose you are like me, and you prefer a good story-conducted, linear game, especially a good story-powered FPS game, which feels like a rareness in the modern video game landscape. In that case, as I was, you probably ‘will be very excited by the developers’ pitch, who worked on the metro games, creating a new science-fired FPS, which can be played in a completely co-op.’

Unfortunately, my excitement quickly decreased when I sat down to play La Quimera. I am sorry to say that my favorite thing about it is that it is a small game, and I was able to finish it in less than 5 hours.

I sympathize with the fact that I cannot fully imagine what it was for the Reburn team that created this game in the last five years. I also appreciate that it is not asking for full $ 70 with its higher budget -friendly $ 30 value tag. But a bad game is a rip-up at any cost, and not only La Quimera is not worth your time, but in its current situation, I would not even say that it is ready to release.

I believe that I do not have hardware to display La Quimera in my best graphical light. I made a console player big and made my first PC, the one I used to play the game in the present five years ago, which I felt that the mid-range and more really, the more real, which I could tolerate at that time, targeted him. It is a ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, and a RTX 2060 that has always been dependent on the work for what I have thrown on it, which has been honestly mostly Indie game that I have got for cheap and whatever I can’t play on my PS5 or Xbox Series X.

The Chimera Review

I am not trying to play on 4K/120fps with my 1440p monitor that caps out on 60fps. I made my PC the way I did because I needed a new computer at that time, so why should it not be made something that can play games with decency? I am giving all the reference to you so that when I say that La Quimera is a bad game, I am not talking about performance issues that a beefier PC will probably be able to push through it.

I am talking about the bad audio that was either delayed or just not there, and bad audio mixing that pacified the crashed scenes. I am talking about bugs such as being unable to move up or down my ratical when aiming at a controller, an issue that does not exist when I play with my keyboard and mouse.

The enemies who are not fun to fight, whether they are facing a human or robot, the latter, you should play this game. Weapons that do not sound or feel that they have any weight, or feel that they are creating an impact despite their cold cool designs.

La-Quimera-Review

Writing and voice acting that surprised me whether the lines of human characters were to sound as a sound in the form of lines from your AI partner or any other voice that came from a machine. A story that sets threads that does not go anywhere, such as setting a sequel I can tell you that I am not interested in playing now.

La Quimera does not seem anything about. Each part feels like a dissatisfied piece of the project that the team in rebirth actually sews together without creating a unique image. Even the gameplay sits on top of the list of positive takeaways from La Quimera based on not being completely spoiled.

Futuristic settings and exosyts that you wear after the initial mission, which is one in three, offers you more options to make each comment encounter a little more interesting. The scanner you are combined with a weapon, which can shoot through the walls, helps you give time to breathe in the more explosive fire fighting of La Quimera, really without taking out yourself out of the fight.

Chimera

Being capable of calling your own defensive drone, even the obstacles against those thrown at you, or to take a few moments to catch an enemy to catch an enemy, enter into a mode, entering a mode that I appreciate in a futuristic shooter. It is not that there is a real stealth gameplay to go with the convenience of that later, pay attention to you, because the enemies once you take out one of them with a coward attack, then your situation quickly reveals.

Regarding its setting, once again, I was ignored in Latin America with the idea of a futuristic diastopia set, but what is La Quimera Steam page Describes as one “Succulent forest” And “Breathtaking megalopolis“The display boils with more gray than green on the display and a story that throws into the odd Spanish word or phrase while the rest is in English.

I would say that it is clear that a lot of work went into an attempt to look very smooth to La Quimera. I am sure if I had the top-of-the-line hardware, it would look more properly, but it proves that La Quimera is all Sizal and no stake. And when I am not complaining that I did not have to spend a long time with it before the game ends, the low runtime does not give Quimera to any room to go anywhere.

The Chimera Review

I could play missions again to earn more in-game currency and upgrade my exosyt, but I could not say that I would get out of it. Maybe I have played it enough bar to get a fun video game, the rest of the upgrade, but why will the ‘real’ fun in the experience come so late?

In addition, I would note that playing it before release, I did not get a chance to play it in the co-op, which is one aspect of La Quimera that has been constantly highlighted in its marketing. I could see that it is more fun with friends on my side, mimicking flat dialogue and running through the entire game at the same time, which would take us to play a few rounds of some multiplayer games that we could play instead.

But it is not a wins to argue why you and your friends should download La Quimera and spend time with it in other sports. And, as a person who was playing a single, the fact that La Quimera needs you always to be online, whether you are playing with other people or not, there is absolutely one point against it. If I am not playing with anyone, and this is a single-player experience, then an offline mode should be available that can stop me the game.

I really wanted to like La Quimera. The idea of a quick, intense FPS that tells a good story that I can play again with my friends is what I can take back. Furthermore, it is not that there are no excellent FPS games with a small campaign that are incredibly fun to return again and again.

Unfortunately, La Quimera is not one of them. Although it may not result in adequate development time, it is difficult to improve this game in ten times if only its bugs were fixed. Today’s congested FPS needs to change a lot and work again to bring La Quimera to equal to competing in the market, even if it is one of the few who offer a single-chain focus on a multiplayer.
