Macos 26 will leave support for many old Intel-based Mac models, which is currently compatible with Macos Sequoia, with a proven track record of leaking information about Apple’s software platform according to a private account on X.
Macos 26 will be compatible with the following Mac model, the account said:
- MacBook Air (M1 and later)
- MacBook Pro (2019 and later)
- IMAC (2020 and later)
- Mac Mini (M1 and later)
- Mac Studio (All Models)
- Mac Pro (2019 and later)
This is the same list that was already reported AppleinsiderBut there may be a slight difference, Licker said uncertainty.
According to a private account on X, it is said that McOS 26 will also leave support for MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, two Thunderbolt 3 ports). However, the account said that they “do not believe much”, so do not put too much stock in that particular claim. Just know that this special model is potentially on the chopping block.

Macos 26 is rumored to be named Macos Tahoe. Apple will announce the software update during its WWDC 2025 Kenote, which begins on Monday.
