A new leak confirms that Samsung’s Gemini extension integration with its stock apps will likely debut on the Galaxy S25 phone. The long-awaited Galaxy Unpacked event is fast approaching, scheduled for January 22, and anticipation is high, even though much information about the Galaxy S25 has already leaked. Just yesterday, we saw a leak showing a new Galaxy AI feature called “Now Brief,” Now, another leak rreveals whatthe Gemini extension can do with Samsung’s stock apps on the Galaxy S25 series.

Gemini Extension on the Horizon for Samsung Stock Apps

Understandably, neither Google nor Samsung has shared details about these extensions so far. However, we can expect to hear a lot more about AI features on January 22, and these Gemini extensions will likely be mentioned as well.

A popular leaker, “Chun Bhai,” has shared some screenshots on X (formerly Twitter) showing the potential upcoming Gemini extensions for Samsung’s Calendar, Notes, and Reminder apps. These screenshots offer a glimpse into what tasks users could perform with the Gemini extensions on the next Galaxy phone.

What the Samsung Calendar Gemini Extension Can Do

The Samsung Calendar extension is set to allow users to create, edit, or delete events, capture information from images to create events, list events for a specific date range, and create recurring events using voice commands with Gemini. However, it appears you won’t be able to share events or detect overlapping events with this extension.

The Samsung Notes extension will allegedly guide Gemini to create, summarize, and retrieve notes based on details. However, users may not be able to create or delete folders, add note tags, or invite people to share notes with this extension.

What the Reminder App Gemini Extension Offers

For the Reminder app, the Gemini extension is expected to allow users to create reminders, edit reminder names, times, or dates, search for reminders based on names, times, or dates, and delete existing reminders. However, users won’t be able to add locations or photos to reminders, nor will they be able to add checklists or edit categories.

It is also rumored that Google is working on a Samsung Clock extension, which could allow users to manage alarms, stopwatches, and timers. These Gemini extensions are expected to launch with the Galaxy S25 series but may eventually be available on older Galaxy models as well.

Potential Impact of Gemini Extensions on Galaxy S25

While these features might seem basic, the generative AI capabilities can save users significant time, both in terms of screen time and real-world effort. Although these straightforward tasks might not be the main attraction of the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, they will complement the rumored Galaxy AI package for the upcoming S25 phone.

Samsung is laying the groundwork for a broader ecosystem of AI-integrated devices with the Galaxy S25 series, aiming to deliver a more seamless smartphone experience. Meanwhile, we’re still (mostly) waiting for Apple’s promised upgraded Siri.
