• More details about Samsung’s tri-fold phone have been leaked
• Titanium frame could be used for extra durability
• The phone is likely to come with 16GB of RAM
Throughout this year, we’ve heard continuous rumors — and even a few official teasers — about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy tri-fold foldable phone. Now, a fresh leak has revealed some of its key specifications.
According to well-known tipster @PandaFlashPro (via SamMobile), this new foldable phone, which folds in an additional segment, will feature a titanium and aluminum frame for enhanced durability. This design choice isn’t new — we’ve seen it in Samsung’s premium phones and Apple’s top iPhones over the past few years.
In addition to its robust build, the phone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon chipset and come with 16GB of RAM. While the specific processor hasn’t been named, the Snapdragon 8 Elite is a likely candidate — the same one used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25.
Interestingly, this leak also suggests that the phone won’t have an under-display camera on the main screen — a shift from the Galaxy Z Fold 6. We’ve heard similar rumors about the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which indicates that punch-hole cameras might be making a return this year.

Although the tipster has labeled these details as “confirmed,” nothing is truly official until Samsung announces it. What we do know for sure is that a tri-fold device is really around the corner — the Korean company has dropped plenty of hints in that area.
Also, based on the current rumors, the tri-fold phone seems like an interesting matter to consider. There are things like folding battery for maximized battery life, while the sizes of screens are supposed to be 9.96 inches (main display) and 6.49 inches (cover display).
There are also signs that this phone will share several features with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, such as its speaker setup and hinge mechanism — though its charging speed might not be best-in-class.
We might even have a name for it: Samsung Galaxy G Fold. Chances are, we’ll see it officially unveiled on July 9 during the next Galaxy Unpacked event, alongside the Z Fold 7, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8.
