Apple is working on a revised version of its shortcut app with Apple Intelligence Integration, Reports Bloomberg,

For anyone unfamiliar with the shortcut app, tool allows users to create custom workflows or functions – called shortcuts – to do functions automatically or with minimal conversation. Activities can include anything from sending messages from sending messages to the smart home device. The app came out of Apple’s 2017 workflow acquisition, which was re -prepared as a shortcut next year.

As BloombergMark Gurman, the new version of Mark Gurman, will allow users to take action using the Apple Intelligence Model. In practice, it can allow users to take action with the help of AI – for example, by releasing voice commands in natural language. This should make the process easier and scare less for casual users.

Microsoft already has Copilot+ for Windows, which does something similar. For Macos, like third-party AI agents Taskgate To offer an equivalent experience, but the Apple Intellian may not yet point to a comparable AI device in its suit features. This is mainly because Siri has so far taken advantage of the big language model (LLMS) – some such a company is planning to improve.

The shortcut app revamp was allegedly planned to be released this year, but the delay may appear in 2026, so there is a possibility that it will not be facilitated when it is launched in Macos 26 or iOS/iPados 26 in September.
