According to Piper Sandler’s latest binary teenage survey, Apple’s iPhone is incredibly popular with American teenagers. 88 percent of the teenagers in the survey stated that they own a ‌iphoneion, and 88 percent said they intend to buy a iphoneion as their next device.

Since April 2024, a teenager ownership number has increased by three percent, and it is near the record height. The longest among teenagers in the United States has been the most popular smartphone, and teen ownership has steadily increased. In April 2015, 10 years ago, 66 percent of teenagers were surveyed.

Although teenage interest in ‌iphoneion is high, other apple products and services are not as popular. Apple has not created inroads with Apple TV+, and it continues Spotify as the most popular music service among teenagers.

Surveyed 45 percent of adolescents have a payment spotify subscription, while Apple Music is the second most popular streaming service with 30 percent of the teenagers report an AAPPLE Music Membership. Because Spotify has a free tier, it is still the most popular service in which 65 percent of teenagers use it. Japple TVO+ is not popular with a teenager, and less than one percent says that they watch the iapple tv2+ show. Netflix and YouTube were the most popular with 31 percent and 26 percent of adolescent reporting use respectively.

About 31 percent of the teenagers own a virtual reality tool, but most of them have an Okulus (25 percent). Only one percent of the teenager has an Apple Vision Pro, which is not surprising given the price of Apple’s device. Teenagers who have VR devices, 60 percent said they rarely use it, with only four percent reporting consistently daily users.

Piper Sandler surveyed 6,455 teenagers in 43 states for spring 2025 reports.
