Xiaomi’s latest Ultra model features four cameras in a circular Leica lens cluster. It seems that Xiaomi is gearing up to launch a new flagship Ultra smartphone model that will take Leica licensing beyond just the lenses. Android Headlines has shared official renders of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, showcasing Leica-inspired camera styling, with dual-tone white and rough-finished black vertical strips on the back of the phone.
When viewed from the side, the large, round camera protrusion and the Xiaomi branding on the corner give it a traditional Leica camera-like appearance (at least from a distance). These images match a leak that was posted last week on the Chinese social media site Weibo, where a hand was shown holding the phone like a camera with a finger placed where the shutter button is typically located. However, the new renders do not show the shutter button.

According to a report by GSM Arena, Xiaomi has already released a teaser sample image from the 15 Ultra, showing a new camera system, possibly from the rumored 200-megapixel periscope system. The company’s CEO, Lei Jun, posted the image and confirmed that the 15 Ultra smartphone will be launched alongside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra car at the end of February.
Android Headlines also obtained a spec sheet for the Ultra, which confirms the periscope camera with 4.3x optical zoom. Other cameras include a 50-megapixel primary shooter with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel 3x optical zoom camera with optical image stabilization. Finally, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The leaked specs include the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 5,410mAh battery, 90W wired HyperCharge charging, 80W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging, 16GB RAM, and storage options of 512GB or 1TB, depending on the region. It will also feature a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 3200×1440 resolution, a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz, and an in-display fingerprint reader. Xiaomi has also experimented with other designs leaning on its Leica brand licensing, including a concept 12S Ultra that uses a full-sized Leica lens and a camera grip kit for the 13 Ultra.
