Apple updated today Assistant document For apple maps on the web, to mention that the facility now works on the iPhone, which seems relatively new.
A pre -version of the support document lists only the MAC, iPads and PC, compatible with the AAPPLE MAPSE on the web, but is now a new mobile device section that lists both iOS and iPados. Maps.apple.com In addition, instead of loading on the Phoneion, instead of redirecting the Maps URL on the AAPPLE Maps App app.
When on the web feature launched last year, it was not available on the iphoneion, and it used to work only in select browsers. Apple has since expanded support, and has been available for safari on MAC, Safari and Safari on ipad, and also edge on MAC, PCS and mobile devices,, chrome and firefox.
It is possible that the ipple maps on web support for iphoneion were bound by iOS 18.4 and the option that allows European Union users to select a new default mapping app. With a separate maps app set, Aapple Maps, links that receive an EU user, can still be opened through the AAPPLE Maps website.
