Today open Update chat With a better memory feature that allows the chatbot to remember more about your conversation. Openai CEO Sam Altman says that Chatgpt “may refer to all your previous conversations,” allows for more personal experience.
Chatgpt will remember the reference from previous conversation, such as preferences and interests, using that information to tailor the reactions that provide. You can add something to the memory of the chat directly by asking to “remember” a fact.
The option to refer to saved memories is opt-in, and can be closed in Chatgpt settings under privatization. There is an option to manage all the memories that have been stored by CHATGPT, including removing all of them or removing only one or two. Chatgpt will save memories indefinitely, but they can be removed at any time.
Update memory features are rolling for all plus and pro tier users, but functionality is not available in the European Union, UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
