Google is re-designing an account switcher that appears in the top-right corner of each first-party app, a fullscreen experience instead of a floating window that preserves reference.
It gives the UI more space than before and matches the experience on the web. Your email address appears in a very first line. After this a large circular avatar, greeting (“Hi, [name]”), And” Manage your Google account “button.
The material uses a much more vibrant shade of the background dynamic color, with 3 manifestations. In most apps, Google account switcher is used for nothing but for its name. This is a case with the field apps.
Other apps without NAV Draft use this menu to list major navigation elements including settings. In these cases, you get more and more [app]”To remind users where they are.
My main complaint with this redisine is that this account makes the switcher a fullscreen interface and removes the spatial reference when it should not be necessarily. You are taking out very much from the app you are using. Fortunately, you can leave this page and still swipe up/down on corner switcher as before.
To date, in 11 first-sided apps, fullscreen google account on Android is switcher redesign:
Google Home: Help, response
Google Maps: Incognito mode, your profile, your timeline, location sharing, turn off the offline map, add your business, add your data to maps, settings, assistance and response
Google News: Notifications, my activity, news settings, assistance and response
Google task: Settings, aids and reactions
Google translation: Saved tape, history, downloaded languages, settings, assistance and reaction
Google wallet: Wallet tips, payment setup, payment methods, password manager, your data, settings, help and response
Gmail,Comment – This was the first app in December 2024 to get the redisine, but it is not widely rolled and has been pulled back to some.)
