After teasing for the first time in February, Google starts rolling out widely rolling out the option “Use mobile data” on Android.

Google earlier announced that “how can you continue your quick share transfer on Wi-Fi or mobile data, even if the sender or receiver loses direct connection” in February 2025 system release notes. Those who went to the beta version of Play Services began to see it then. As usual, it takes some time for the facilities declared widely available.

With a stable version of Google Play Services 25.18Now we use a “mobile data: Continue sharing if your device cannot connect more than Wi-Fi. Data fees may apply” Accounts below the on/off togle, the device name, and who can share with you with settings. It was capable by default at our end.

We are looking at it on many devices running Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1, but it is also visible on Android 15. It is not yet widely rolled.
