Google Announced today Its chrome browser has received the “highest score” on the speedometer 3 benchmarking test. The speedometer 3 is designed to measure the browser performance, and was cooperatively formed by Google, Apple, Intel, Microsoft and Mozilla.
The test is designed to measure web accountability through many workloads such as HTML Parsing, JavaScript and JSON processing, pixel rendering, CSS application, and more.
The adaptation that Google has adapted in the previous year has improved the performance 10 percent since August 2024, which Google says that leads to better browser experiences for the end users.
The team massively adapted the memory layout of several internal data structures in DOM, CSS, layout and painting components. Blink is now avoided by a lot of useless churning on the system memory, where it is in relation to reaching the pattern to maintain the state, which maximizes the use of CPU cash. Where internal memory was already dependent on the garbage collection in oelpains, such as domes, the use types were extended using mallok to using malloc to oilpane. This usually speeds up the affected areas as it packs the memory well in the backnd of the oilpane.

Apple has not recently shared its maximum speedometer 3 test results for the safari, so a direct comparison is not available, and it is worth noting that Google has used speedometer 3, not the new speedometer 3.1 test.
