Openai announced launch today Three new GPT models Which are available through Openai API. GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 Mini, and GPT-4.1 are called Nano, models are not available for Chatgpt at the present time.

The GPT-4.1 includes coding, instructions following Openai, the following and long contexts include major improvements. Models perform GPT-4O and GPT-4o mini better in all tasks, especially in coding tasks. New models support a million tokens of reference, and it can be used better for a better long reference understanding.

On SWE-Bench verified, GPT-4.1 showed 21.4 percent improvement on GPT-4o for coding and 26.6 percent improvement on GPT-4.5. The GPT-4.1 mini match falls down or more than GPT-4o with low delay and 83 percent lower cost. GPT-4.1 Nano is the fastest and cheapest model of Openai, which is ideal for classification, automatic perfection and similar functions.

Openai says that many reforms in GPT-4.1 have already been included in the Chatgpt version of the GPT-4o, which can be added more functionality in the future. All GPT-4.1 models have a cutoff date of June 2024, which means they are updated on the events before then.

With the introduction of GPT-4.1, Openai is promoting GPT-4.5 in API, as GPT-4.1 provides most of the same functionality at low cost.

The GPT-4.1 costs $ 2 per million input tokens and $ 8 per million output token, while the GPT-4.1 mini cost $ 0.40 per million input tokens and $ 1.60 per million per million. GPT-4.1 Nano is just $ 0.10 per million input tokens and $ 0.40 per million output token. Customized models are available at high prices.
