Apple plans to prepare the app on the iPhone, iPad, MAC and Apple TV later this year, which matches the launch of iOS 19, Macos 16, and TVOS 19 over time. The gaming app will begin at the developers conference worldwide, which is going to be held on 9 June.
The upcoming app is ready to replace the game center, which Apple has long used to invite friends to play mobile games and tracking achievements. While Apple plans to use the new gaming app to promote Apple Arcade, it will include all third-sided games which are currently located in the Games section of the App Store.
It seems that Apple is aiming to divide the gaming of AApp Store, making it easier for customers to find and download games on their equipment. On Mac, the app will also be downloaded outside the Mac App Store “tap in”.
While the gaming app will be previewed in the WWDC, it will roll out for iPhones, iPads, MACS and Apple TVS in September when the operating system will be launched to the public.
