Apple iOS stops signing 18.4.1

Apple today stopped signing the iOS 18.4.1, a week after the IOS 18.5 update is issued. Because iOS 18.4.1 is no longer being signed, the iPhone users who are upgraded to iOS 18.5 are no longer able to downgrade in the previous version of iOS.

“Signing” check a server-side verification that apple when iOS is downloaded on a chimetic. An update cannot be downloaded and cannot be installed until this verification passes the check, and the non -signed process prevents customers from installing older versions of iOS that are not as safe.

Apple usually stops signing the old software of about a week after a week of issuing updates, and doing so ensures that customers have the latest security reforms and are not unsafe for known attacks.

iOS 18.5 added support for new wallpapers, a screen time password change for parents, and satellite features provided by the carrier on the Oiphone 13 model. It also addressed more than 30 security weaknesses.

Apple has also stopped signing the iPados 17.7.6, as it had released as a replacement for iPados 17.7.7 today as a replacement for updates before iPados 17.7.8.
