Apple is no longer planning to issue an Apple Watch which includes a camera, report BloombergApple Apple Watch and Apple Watch were developing ultra models, with a camera to see the environment around the wear, but working on those projects ended this week.

The camera in the Apple Watch would not have been used for features such as facetime or snaping photos, rather apple watch owners instead will allow them to get information about goods and places.

An apple watch may be able to do things such as pointing at a restaurant or store, identifying a plant, describing an object or providing hours while providing language translation. Wearable camera functionality must have acted like visual intelligence, an AI iPhone feature that allows users to indicate their camera on something to get more information.

Apple planned to release the Apple Watch model equipped with camera in 2027, but plans are closed. It is possible that Apple may bring back technology in the future, and it is not known why development ended.

Although Apple is no longer planning for Apple Watch with a camera, it is still developing airpods with small cameras. Airpods can be infrared sensors to enable the cameras to enable facilities such as spatial audio, in-air gesture control and AI capabilities.
