Samsung released its first UI 8 update in beta, and while it is not as big as an update as a UI 7, there are some significant changes in Android 16-based experience. Here is full Changelog, and everything is new.
Everything new in a UI 8 for Samsung Galaxy
New quick share experience
The quick stock has a new experience on a UI 8 that has dedicated “send” and “obtained” tabs. Users can now select files to be sent to quick stock through this interface, an option for the regular sharing menu. This change is expected to come on all Android devices through updates of Google’s quick stock version.
Files make it easy to find app download
The “My Files” app has received a minor update, in which the categories are now visible on top of the app and a dedicated “files have been added” recently added, which shows preview of the files you created or downloaded.
Updated weather app
The weather app has been updated with new, more realistic people and scenes to show the weather conditions. The app also has more transported UI elements in its various cards.
The Samsung Internet app has found an updated design that mainly affects the overflow shortcts menu. This makes it easy to share and also allows the shortcut to adapt.
Split-screen mode gets onePlus update
Samsung now supports 90:10 Split for apps in Split-screen mode. This allows you to tap on a part of the display to swap between the apps. It acts like an open canvas on OnePlus smartphone, which is a feature introduced for foldables and tablets, and extends into a traditional smartphone with almost equal functionality.
Google is rumored to apply this functionality as a whole in Android 16, but it is not yet alive, only appearing in the “leak” build.
Update Remissible App + Calendar Management
Samsung has updated its reminder app with some large ways, new categories and suggested reminders. Meanwhile, the Samsung calendar app can now become a reminder and manage.

Productivity
Sending and receiving files has never been easy. To start tap on quick share button in quick settings. When the quick share screen is open, you can get the files and send the files directly to others from the quick stock.
If you do not know the name of the file, find the file you need quickly. Now you can filter files based on the app that they were used to download. Download and works in recent ideas in my files.
Reach the features that you need quickly. The Samsung Internet menu has been adapted to make it easier to access the features you use. You can also customize the layout to match your personal priorities.
No other wait. When you start al select, now you can immediately choose an area of screen.
multitasking
The new Samsung Dex gives you more options when you are connected to external monitor or TV. You can choose a customized display resolution up to WQHD and rotate the display 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
While 2 apps are open in the split screen view, you can push one app against the edge of the screen so that it can be partially visible by paying most attention to the other app. Tap the small app at any time to switch between them quickly.
reminder
The reminder app is re -designed with categories shown at the top of the screen, making it easy to see how many reminders are in each category with a quick look. Custom categories can be hidden with a quick tap to free more screen space. Tap them another bar to re -reveal them.
Find the power of the reminder. The sample reminder templates are now available in the reminder app. Look at these reminders what you can do to manage important tasks in your life.
It was never easy to add new reminder. Just type your reminder in the box below the screen. Suggestions like you type that you can tap to save time. You can add checklist, location and picture using the button below the text box. Or, if you do not want to type at all, tap on the mic icon for voice input.
Calendar
You can easily make a reminder in the calendar app without opening the reminder app. Whenever you tap on the + button, you will have the option to add an event or reminder. You can also pull and drop reminders on your calendar to reinstate them.
When you start adding an event to the Quick Ad menu, you will get the suggestion for the event name and time based on your previous events. Just tap on a suggestion to add an event without additional typing.
Mode and routine
See new preset routine for weather and other advanced conditions. Use them in the same way to meet your needs, or customize them.
New actions are available to get data from clock, calendar and Samsung Note apps. After receiving the data, you can use it in other conditions or tasks in your routine.
Samsung Health
In addition to the step challenges, now you can challenge your friends to see who can run a certain distance fastest. For example, set a target of 50 km and see who reaches there first.
Stay on track to meet your calorie goals. Now you can set a reminder to record your food intake in Samsung Health.
Communications
It is easy to make and edit your profile card to get the right layout for your name and picture. After making, you can share your profile card so that other people can see it when you call them.
Review the records recorded in contacts. Now it is easy to review your previous conversation. Calls you records now appear on the contact history screen.
Swipe up or down quickly to reach quick controls quickly than before by swiping up or down anywhere in the preview area. In camera settings, change swipe up/down option to open quick control.
security and privacy
Keep sensitive apps and data in a separate, protected area of your phone. Now you can set a safe folder to hide the apps and to prevent information when you lock it. You can also fully hide and encryp your safe folder for maximum safety.
Simple use
The auxiliary menu now offers more ways to zoom in and out on the screen. In addition to pulling with a finger, now you can adjust the zoom level by pressing the button on the screen.
If you do not want to use the mouse or do not want, then turn the mouse keys in accessibility settings to use your physical keyboard to move the mouse pointer, click, hold, and scroll.
Now you can make the keys big on the on-screen keyboard so that they are easy to see and tap. Turn on the magnify keyboard when typing in magnification settings to try it.
Now you can pair and connect your Bluetooth hearing ad device directly on the hearing aid support screen at accessibility settings.

Auracast allows you to transmit audio from a device to several hearing devices at the same time. Now it is easy to scan only a QR code and connect to the auicast broadcast. You can also generate a QR code for others to join your broadcast.
Now you can add existing alarm to an alarm group by tapping the + button on the alarm group screen. You can also add an alarm group to an widget on your home screen so that you can or close all the alarms of the group with a tap.
Enjoy a sharp check-in when you visit Samsung Seva Kendras. You can use NFC or scan a QR code to share basic information like your name and phone number with employees without filling any form. Your data has been encrypted and can only be accessed by Samsung Support Staff.
The weather app now provides more rich and realistic images to help to understand the current weather conditions easily.
Can I install a UI 8 beta?
For now, Samsung is limiting a UI 8 beta program to select devices in select areas including Korea, USA, Germany and UK. Other areas will follow later.

If you are in America, you will also be limited to unlocked devices or T-Mobile variants. Other carrier models are not required to apply.
