DFC intelligence After the complete unveiling of the console, an updated report on Nintendo Switch 2 has been published. The original forecast of the analysis firm sold 17 million units in 2025, but due to rising tariff concerns, it has been adjusted up to 15 million units sold by the end of this year. Nevertheless, it will make the Nintendo Switch 2 the fastest-selling console, defeating the original switch as well as the Playstation 4 of Nintendo Wii and Sony, it took all more than a year to reach that sales milestone.

DFC Intelligence also strongly believes in the long -term sales capacity of the new console of Nintendo, saying that it can hold a larger portion compared to the first switch. A part of the reason is the strong third-party support seen in The Rights, such as Eldon Ring, Cyberpank 2077, Street Fighter 6, Hitman: World of Ass own, project 007, final fantasy VII remake intergrade, Hogwarts Ligrade, Borderlands 4, and civilized vii signaling Believed in Switch 2.

Because of this, the firm also believes that the console can capture a larger market share compared to the previous switch, competing directly with Sony’s playstation and Microsoft’s Xbox console. Creating its estimates, DFC Intelligence conducted a survey to assess the initial spirit of the console gamers after the announcement, concluding that 61% of the customers have a positive feeling towards nintendo switch 2 (20% are excited and early adopted, while 41% are positive but still are alert about purchase).

Interestingly, even among hardcore PC gamers, firm’s surveys have shown that users prefer a unique offer of switch than more traditional console like Playstation 5 and Xbox Series S or X.

DFC Intelligence concluded with a bold statement that Nintendo Switch 2 has the ability to reopen the gaming industry. However, the tariff shadow remains. If Nintendo was forced to increase the price of the console, many potential buyers can choose to delay their purchase. In turn, Nintendo can return his manufacturing.
