- This is a major update with “ZXLJ” build numbers across regions.
After a long wait, Samsung finally released the One UI 7 Beta for the Galaxy S24 series at the end of last year. Starting with the United States, the company has already released two betas, and today (January 5), Samsung began releasing the third beta in several regions.
The new Android 15-based One UI 7 Beta 3 update started rolling out for all three models—Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra—in multiple regions, starting with Germany. As reported by SamMobile, users in India and Poland are also receiving it. However, the update in the latter two countries is the same as Beta 2, while other countries, including the U.S., have already received two betas. This is the third major beta update.

Still, the firmware update ends with “ZXLJ” build numbers, regardless of the region, and the changelog for all three Galaxy S24 series models is mostly the same.
According to the changelog, the update includes several bug fixes and improvements. There are enhancements in the Game Booster mode, such as the ability to change the default setting for screen playback, rename FPS settings, adjust the maximum value, and set the default scanning rate to 120Hz. Samsung Messages also receives a “modify exception” when saving MMS images.
One UI 7 introduces a vertical app drawer, and improvements in scrolling interfaces can be expected with the new firmware update. With the latest build, closing operations in the quick panel will feel smoother.
Notable improvements include changes to the lock screen, always-on display, and the battery icon in the status bar (with the new look in One UI 7). Other improvements include a fix for the volume key operation error when using Routine+ mode, and Edge panel tools, which were previously not displaying, are now working fine.
Additionally, the third One UI 7 Beta is at least 1.2GB in size and comes with the January security patch. Needless to say, owners of the Galaxy S24 series who have enrolled in the One UI 7 Beta program are eligible for the latest update. If you haven’t enrolled yet, the best way to experience these features is to wait for the stable release, which is rumored to come after the launch of the Galaxy S25 series later this month.
