Airthaings is a company known for its air quality sensor, and today it introduced its latest digital radon detector, Clend Home 2Depending on where you live, you may know about the radon or not, but coming into contact with time can cause lung cancer, and many people do not know that their homes have radon.
The Corentium Home 2 is a follow -up to the original Corentium Home, and while it does not include the homcomit, it has an iOS app that is capable of connecting to your iPhone on Bluetooth to give regular readings. It monitors radon levels, humidity and temperature, and can send an alert if the level is more than a set range. When a reading is out of the range, the display will tell you, so you can open the app to download the data to check. It would be good for continuous data without the need to connect Wi-Fi, but so far, the connections and data downloads have been quick and reliable.
Design War, Corentium Home 2 is quite simple. It is made of black plastic, with a small square screen where you can see radon, humidity and temperature readings at a glance. There is a button on the front side that cycles through each view, and it is about it except for a battery compartment and a button inside the battery compartment that activates Bluetooth. It connects to a iphoneion on Bluetooth to sync the data that supports the data, and the app has the same direct design.
The app includes the options to see the results over time -with the level of current radon, humidity and temperature. Options include 24 hours, seven days, 30 days and one year. You will see average in each time period, but you can also tap in each section for more granular data. When you are looking at the data, the app has a clean facility. When you tap with a line graph, instead of jumping from one place to another, it will quickly run through different average, which is useful to look deeply in a few seconds.
The apps and graphs use green for “good” radon readings, use yellow for reading that exceeds good category, and red for danger zone reading, while it uses similar colors for humidity and adds blue to temperature. The app has the underlying thresholds that are not optimized, but usually appeared to be based on the ideal indoor radon, humidity, and temperature settings.
The app and sensor will not increase an alarm until the radon reading 2.7 PCI/L (which is per liter pickeuriz). The yellow area is between 2.7 PCI/L and 4 PCI/L, while the red area is above 4 PCI/L. The US Environmental Protection Agency suggests that people address the radon at the level between 2 PCI/L and 4 PCI/L, with a strong recommendation above 4 PCI/L.
For temperatures, the Corentium Home 2 is between Green Zone 64 and 77 degrees, the red zone is above 77 degrees (aka itts hot), and the blue zone is 64 degrees (it is cool). The humidity is red above 70 percent and below 25 percent (these extremes are unpleasant for people and for wood floors and objects in your home), 25 to 30 percent and yellow between 60 and 70 percent, and beat between 30 and 60 percent. EPA recommended Humidity level between 30 and 50 for optimal comfort, but air conditioning, heating and refrigeration institutes recommended Between 40 and 60 percent. Dryer air can cause an increase in dry mucus membranes and infections, while Mr. Air can cause air mold. Ideal may vary from ideal and personal preference to ideal, so I want the aircraft to adjust the thresholds when needed for temperature and humidity.
You can get out of alert or choose for radon, temperature and humidity. Radon alerts are turned on by default, but can be tolerated into the sets of the app, while other options can be tolerated. The units of measurement can be converted into the app, and if you provide an app with your location, there is also an option to check pollen levels.
There are very high affordable temperature and humidity sensors on the market, so most people want to choose Corentum Home 2 for radon detection, serving as a bonus with temperature and humidity readings. There are many types of radon tests. There are some active charcoal small packets that you leave them before sending them to a laboratory, while expensive professional levels such as the Cantium Home 2 are also machines and middle level sensors.
Mail-in tests are the cheapest and professional testing is the most expensive, but neither offers monitoring over time as Corentum Home 2. Radon is an important sufficient issue that if you are in an area with radon levels that are known to be high, keeping an eye on the radon level over time can lead to peace of mind.
My house had an average radon level of 5.7 PCI/L, and it sometimes reaches 8 PCI/L, so I am familiar with the radon and radon tests. I have tested my home radon, a radon mitigation system was tested several times before and after installation. I do not have a recent professional test (was in the final 2023), but the levels of the corresponding home 2 show the post mitigation test results that I did (on average 2 PCI/L).
Radon readouts of Cantium Home 2 seem to be accurate to me, as is the temperature and humidity sensors. I have many sensoring sensors that I use regularly and which are calibrated, and Corentium Home 2 usually occurs within one percent on both temperature and humidity, when I have checked.
Even with a radon mitigation system, an option to look at the level of radon prevents anxiety on spikes in constant concentration and solves the question of what mitigation is working. Radon levels can raise a lot of ups and downs depending on external conditions, year’s time and other factors, as well as they can vary from the room, so the second great thing about the Kontium Home 2 is that you can move it around and make sure that there are no hot spots.
Radon monitors are usually placed in the lowest area of the house (this is where the gas settles), and several feet from a door or window that is opened regularly, as it can affect the readout. With the Corentium Home 2, you will get your first reading within 24 hours, and then reading continuously. To get a clear picture of radon over time, you have to test for about 30 days, and every time you open the app will download the data from the device to the app.
If it turns out that you have a radon problem, the app can provide information about what to do about it. You can also turn on a “a professional with a” connect “that will automatically contact a local company that works with radon if you get high readings, but I think most people are intelligent to get their help.
The Corentium Home 2 operates on the two AA battery. I am not yet sure how long the battery will last, but AA is a battery type that many people live on hand, and the use of the battery seems minimal that data has been transferred to Bluetooth.
Ground level
Most of us houses have carbon monoxide sensors and smoke detectors, but radon can be equally dangerous. The Corentium Home 2 is $ 180, which over time seems like a reasonable value to be able to monitor the ups and downs of the radon.
If you do not have a radon mitigation system or are not familiar with radon, it can tell you whether there is a problem. If you already have mitigation and know about an issue, it can tell you that your system is working according to the intention.
how to Buy
Corentium Home 2 can be purchased From Airthaings website Or From Amazon For $ 180.
