TVOS is perhaps the Apple operating system that gets the lowest update each year, and it is not going to change in 2025. But thanks to the design overhaul that Apple is introducing in all its software platforms, TVOS is ready to get some interesting new features.

As we have noted several times this week, Apple is changing the naming for its operating system update. After TVOS 18, we are receiving Tvos 26 instead of TVOS 19. “26” represents the release season from September 2025 to September 2026 for TVos, Apple plans to use the same number in iOS, iPados, Macos, Watchos and Visionos.
Update design
Visionos-style design updates coming in iOS, iPados and Macos will also reach TVOS. TVOos comparatively attracts a little attention, so what we are changing is not specific details on it, but we can do a little extrapression from iOS rumors.
The iOS 26 will adopt an interface that focuses on rifs, transportation, floating menu and window on visus, and focuses on more round design elements. It is described as using light and shadow to give effects like a glass, which we can see in the imagery that is using to promote Apple WWDC.
The TVOS 26 menu can adopt some identical transportation to the app icon, button, and other parts of the interface, as well as it can get the same floating look and more dramatically round edges for buttons and windows that are typical of visionos.
Apple wants the experience of using its various platforms to feel more harmonious, which is why everything is changing the same design.

It is specific to introduce new screennaries with TVOS updates for Apple, so we may also expect to see the new aerial screensever options as well as screenseavors that match the update beauty. Last year, Apple came out with Snoopy Screensever, so we could also get those people, or another partnership.
Game app
Apple plans to launch a new cross-platform game app that will serve as a one-stop spot to discover and launch the game. On Apple TV, it will include several games that can run on the device, including third-party games and Apple Arcade Games.
The game app will essentially introduce the entire game section of the TVOS app store. It is also expected from Apple Editors facilities such as achievements, leadersboards and recommendations. There may also be new equipment to communicate with other players.
Wi-Fi syncing
If you are in an abnormal position of a college or a similar place to connect your Opplapple TV with a captive network, you will be happy to hear about a new captive Wi-Fi syncing option that is coming on Apple’s platforms.
With this feature, you will only have to log in to a captive network of one of your apple devices, and login information will be sinking for everything else signed in your Apple account.
Recommendations
Apple is no rumor about TVOS adopting intelligence, but Apple is expanding AI on its platforms. TVOS AI can benefit from features that learn better than user’s preferences to see what to see further, to recommend more analoging material on it.
