Apple’s upcoming homepod software 26 update will support the original first generation homepod, according to a private account on X with a proven track record for updated software updates.

Apple released the original homepods eight years ago, so it is good to see that Apple’s latest software will support it. What will bring in the new software table in terms of new features is not yet clear, but hopefully improvement in Siri experience is coming upcoming.

Instead of naming the next generation version homepod software 19, Apple is likely to call it homepod software 26. All major software updates coming this year are “26”, depicting the cycle of “26”, September 2025 to September 2026, so it will not receive similar treatment for homepod software.

The homepod family is expected to grow in this year or next size, with Apple’s arrival of a long -time rummed smart home hub. We are expecting that Apple recently provides an initial preview of the Home Hub at WWDC based on trademarking activity.

Apple’s WWDC 2025 Keenote will begin on Monday, June 9 at 10:00 am. Apple will stream the event on its website, on YouTube and in the TV app. If you are not able to see live, we will have a live blog and coverage of announcements, here in macromors, we will tweet live it will tweet on this program Macrumorslive account,
