Older Samsung Galaxy handsets could soon receive some top-notch features from the new models. These updates are expected to roll out in the coming months.
For several new Androids that have been launched in 2025, some really stand out. Most of them are the Samsung Galaxy S25 range, which many consider as the best in the series yet because it boasts the most modern technologies that the Korean brand can offer.
Although the overall changes are incremental compared to previous generations, there are still some standout features in the new handsets. Primarily, it includes a lot of camera software updates aimed at enhancing the performance of Samsung’s camera system.
Now, some of these new features are coming to older handsets. According to a report from 91Mobiles, which cites another source on Twitter, this information has surfaced.
The user shared a reported changelog for the Samsung Galaxy S24, which includes two of these camera features. According to the changelog, users will get access to both AI filters and Samsung LOG video recording.
Thus, filters generated by AI will go in any S-series and Z-series flagship that still qualifies for One UI 7. With this, devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S21 series and Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 can now get it.
The recording of LOG will be minimally limited. According to the report, it is stated that only Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be receiving this update where users can record RAW videos for post-processing and color grading.
But really, it’s a great boost to the old handset users. AI filters may not be everything, but they will definitely bring a nice offering to the photography options.
There is no sure date for the release of these features yet. The report mentioned that the stable releases would be coming “in the coming months,” which, however, is not very specific. So we just need to keep our eyes open while the developments unfold.
