Samsung Galaxy S25 update for the first time

Fortunately, for Galaxy S25 users in America, it comes with several bug fixes in addition to performance improvements for the series. Earlier this week, it rolled out in Korea, and now it has been made available to carrier-locked models of Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

what does the update include?

The 500MB download comes with the update, which is of the firmware version S93xUSQU1AYB3. It is reportedly focused on making your phone run smoother and more securely. Although Samsung hasn’t shared a full list of fixes, many users are hoping it will address the banding issue we recently reported.

The update also includes the February 2025 security patch, which fixes several vulnerabilities from the previous software version. In short, after this update, your phone will be more secure and (hopefully) free from bugs.

If you have a carrier-locked Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra, you can get the update by going to Settings » Software Update » Download and Install. Alternatively, you can download the firmware file from Samsung’s database and flash it using the Odin tool.

Samsung will soon release this update for factory-unlocked Galaxy S25 models in the USA. And if you’re outside the US, don’t worry—this update should be rolling out to other regions like Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and Latin America in the coming weeks.

Regular updates like this are really important for your device’s security. They not only fix annoying bugs but also patch known security flaws.

For those planning to upgrade, the Galaxy S25 series mainly offers improved raw performance (thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip), which is complemented by new AI features and a better heat dissipation system through incremental updates. It will be interesting to see how many new AI features roll out with the One UI 7.0 update on the Galaxy S24 series.”
