Apple released iPados 17.7.8 today, an update designed for iPad users that are not able to install the latest iPados 18 updates.
The iPados 17.7.8 comes a few days later when Apple stopped signing the iPados 17.7.7, which was the former version of the iPados that was available on the old iPads. iPados 17.7.7 preventing some users from being able to log in to their apps, and iPados 17.7.7 possibly addresses the issue.

The iPados 17.7.8 is available for the sixth generation of ipad, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and the second generation 12.9-inch iPipad Pro. It can be downloaded by going to the software update section in Settings app on eligible equipment.
